Bill Dyer's world was seemingly turned upside down by two life threatening experiences that changed his life forever. While selling commercial explosives to the mining and construction industries in the late 1980s, Bill was robbed and shot at an Automatic Teller Machine on his way to work and, then, he was nearly killed in an explosives blast two years later. Powerful lessons for leading and prospering in challenging times have been gleaned from these experiences; in fact, they inspired Bill to become a professional speaker, author, and coach. For thirteen years, wisdom gained from these challenges has been at the heart of his purpose to help others during difficult times.

Bill's message and programs help people achieve peak performance by making powerful choices and being unstoppable in the face of self-limiting beliefs and attitudes, which grow out of challenges, adversity, growth, and change. Former clients include: Prudential Financial, Johnson & Johnson, Celebrity Cruises, Kirby, The CIA, US Postal Service, Martin Marietta, Jefferson Pilot, Novartis, Wake Forest Graduate School of Management, National Home Furnishings Association, National Homebuilders Association, and Coldwell Banker.

Born in Wichita Falls, Texas, Bill Dyer grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. After graduating from Tulane University in 1983 with a degree in Geology, he worked as a geologist in the oil fields of Kansas, Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming. In 1985, Bill went to work for Western Geophysical on the exploration side of the oil and gas industry, managing offshore exploration crews along the Louisiana-Texas Gulf Coast and West Africa.

Upon returning to the US in 1988, Bill took a position with Dupont, selling commercial explosives, before pursuing his dream of working for himself. In 1991 he started a business distributing alarm systems for a marketing arm of Applied Electronics. For four years, speaking and leading seminars were a vital part of building a national business. Bill's passion for that role led to the creation of his personal development company, Quantum Leap Resources, in 1994.
